Ezeiza or Aeroparque?

Aeropuertos Argentina, which runs both airports, gives Ezeiza's address as kilometre 33.5 of the Autopista Teniente General Pablo Riccheri in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires province. Plan on roughly an hour for any Ezeiza transfer. Aeroparque Jorge Newbery is the closer airport: Tienda León times its ride to the centre at half that, and the fares are lower.

Both airports carry the same warning from the operator: do not accept transport services offered verbally in the terminal. Buy a shuttle ticket or book a car at a desk or in advance.

How do you get from Ezeiza to central Buenos Aires?

Aeropuertos Argentina's public transport page for Ezeiza lists the Tienda León shuttle and city bus lines 8, 51, 394 and 518. For a visitor heading to the centre, the realistic choices are the shuttle, bus 8 or a car.

Tienda León shuttle

Tienda León runs buses from Ezeiza to its Terminal Pellegrini at Pellegrini 971 in central Buenos Aires. On 23 September 2026 its website listed a promotional web fare of ARS 16,500 per person and a travel time of 1 hour. It also sold Ezeiza to Aeroparque at ARS 17,000 (1 hour 20 minutes).

The airport operator's own online shop listed the same Ezeiza–Terminal Pellegrini transfer at ARS 19,500 the same day. The two sellers' prices differ, so compare before you buy.

City bus 8

Line 8 is a regular colectivo, paid by tapping at the validator. The Ezeiza trip crosses from the province into the city, so the national table for interjurisdictional lines should apply, and a ride from the airport to the centre falls in its longest band. The national transport fare table, updated at the end of August 2026, shows:

Distance band Registered SUBE card Unregistered SUBE card
12–27 km ARS 1,151.36 ARS 2,302.72
Over 27 km ARS 1,337.06 ARS 2,674.12

You can pay without a SUBE card. The SUBE page on new payment methods says contactless Visa and Mastercard debit, credit and prepaid cards "of any bank", phones and watches with NFC, and QR codes are accepted on all SUBE-equipped buses in the metropolitan area, including national lines. It adds that you pay the registered-user fare whichever method you use. The page does not say whether cards issued abroad are included, so carry a SUBE card or pesos as a fallback.

Remis (private car)

A remis is a booked car at a fixed price. On 23 September 2026, Aeropuertos Argentina's page for Ezeiza displayed remis transfers from its online shop at ARS 82,000 for a car and ARS 97,160 for a van. The summary cards did not name the destination zone, so confirm what address range the price covers before paying. Tienda León also runs a 24-hour remis service with sedan, minivan and van classes, priced when you book.

We could not confirm current metered taxi fares from Ezeiza on an official page, so treat any taxi price as a quote to agree before departure.

Which Ezeiza option fits you?

This table combines the operators' fares and times with the national bus fare table and the payment rules. The US dollar figures use the Central Bank's reference rate of ARS 1,516 per dollar on 23 September 2026 and are only a guide.

Option Cost Time Best when
Bus 8 ARS 1,337.06 contactless or registered SUBE (about USD 0.90) No published time; slow Solo, light bag, daytime
Tienda León shuttle ARS 16,500 web fare (about USD 11) About 1 h to Terminal Pellegrini Solo or pair with suitcases
Remis, car ARS 82,000 airport shop price (about USD 54) Direct Three or four people, late arrival
Remis, van ARS 97,160 airport shop price (about USD 64) Direct Group with a lot of luggage

How do you get from Aeroparque to the city centre?

Aeroparque is the shorter trip. The airport operator's list for Aeroparque includes the Tienda León shuttle and city bus lines 8, 33, 34, 37, 45, 160 and 166.

  • Tienda León charged ARS 7,500 from Aeroparque to Terminal Pellegrini on its website on 23 September 2026, with a travel time of 30 minutes.
  • City buses use the same tap-to-pay system as bus 8. Within the city, national government fare tables put a registered-card or contactless fare at ARS 742.81–1,151.36 on national lines and ARS 887.99–1,138.77 on lines that run only within the city, depending on distance.
  • Remis and taxis are the simplest option with luggage. Agree the price before setting off, as at Ezeiza.

Paying for public transport after you land

If you plan to use buses, the Subte or trains during your stay, a SUBE card is worth having. The SUBE FAQ says you can buy one at a Punto SUBE sales point or online. A card can go ARS 1,200 into negative balance for one emergency trip, and it holds a maximum of ARS 40,000.

An unregistered card pays double on national bus lines, as the table above shows, while tapping a contactless bank card is charged at the registered rate. Test your bank card on your first ride and keep a SUBE card as a backup.
