What is active on this site

Google Analytics is available only after you accept analytics cookies. Google AdSense is planned but is not currently enabled. You can browse our guides without accepting analytics. We do not provide user accounts, take bookings, or collect payment details.

Information used to deliver the site

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Ordinary requests may include your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and connection or security logs. These support delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention. A search URL may contain the search words you entered. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Search, saved places, and trip plans

Destination searches run in your browser against a static index. Saved places, trip dates, notes, and checklist choices stay in this browser’s local storage and are not uploaded to an account or deliberately sent to Analytics. Avoid storing sensitive information in trip notes, especially on a shared device. Saved places and plans remain until you remove them or clear this site’s browser data. The previous homepage photo is stored for the browser session.

Google Analytics

If you consent, we use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand page visits and improve the website. It can process device and browser information, approximate location, referral information, page views, and interactions using cookies and identifiers. We configure page-view URLs without search parameters or fragments and do not intentionally send trip notes, dates, email addresses, or other directly identifying information. Analytics is optional; advertising personalization signals are disabled in this integration.

Cookies and your choices

Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or decline analytics, or withdraw a previous choice. The Google tag is not loaded before acceptance. Declining disables future measurement through this integration and removes accessible Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already processed by Google. Your choice is saved on this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured with a 180-day expiry, which can renew during use. Clearing browser data resets your preferences. With JavaScript disabled, Analytics does not run.

Local storage for saved places and plans supports features you choose to use. Session storage avoids repeating the previous hero photo. These are separate from optional Analytics cookies. Browser settings can remove or block cookies and local storage, although saved features may then stop working.

Advertising: planned Google AdSense integration

AdSense is not currently active. If enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to select, deliver, and measure ads, including ads informed by previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can support personalized advertising across participating sites. You can manage Google personalization through My Ad Center, and participating vendors through industry opt-out tools. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove advertising.

Before advertising starts, this notice and the consent interface will identify the enabled advertising providers and available choices. Applicable consent will be requested before advertising storage or personalization. The current analytics choice does not authorize future advertising.

Sharing, retention, and international processing

Hosting data is processed by Cloudflare; consented analytics data is processed by Google. Following an external link makes that provider’s privacy notice applicable. These providers may process information outside your country with the safeguards described in their policies. Browser data follows the periods above. Provider-side retention depends on the service and account settings; cookie expiry is not the same as deletion of provider records. Privacy correspondence is used to respond to your request and retained only as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations.

Your rights and contacting us

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Consent is the basis for optional analytics; delivery, security, and responding to requests support operating the service and our legitimate interests, subject to applicable law. Contact contact@voyagewindow.com to exercise applicable rights. Please do not send passwords or sensitive travel documents. We may need limited information to verify and locate a request.

Children and updates

This site is intended for a general travel audience and does not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We update this notice when our tools or practices change and display the revision date above.
