What you pay and who goes free
The Panthéon's practical-information page, run by the Centre des monuments nationaux, sets two seasonal prices:
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Full price, 1 October – 31 March | €13 |
| Full price, 1 April – 30 September | €16 |
| Joint ticket with the Basilica of Saint-Denis | €26 |
| Audioguide (10 languages) | €5 |
Free entry comes in two kinds, and the difference decides whether you can walk straight in:
- Straight through, no ticket desk: under-16s with an adult who holds an e-ticket; visitors with a disability and their companion; everyone on the first Sunday of January, February, March, November and December.
- Free, but collect a ticket at the desk with proof: 16–25-year-olds who are EU nationals or non-EU regular residents in France; French teachers with a valid Pass éducation; job seekers with a certificate under six months old.
The next free Sunday
The first Sunday of November 2026 falls on 1 November, the first free day of the winter run. December's free day is 6 December. Expect queues, since everyone is admitted free; the monument says it may close early if it gets very crowded.
Opening hours and closures
- 1 October – 31 March: 10:00–18:00, daily.
- 1 April – 30 September: 10:00–18:30, daily.
- Last entry: 45 minutes before closing.
- First working Monday of each month: opens at 12:00.
- 24 and 31 December: closes at 17:00, last entry 16:15.
- Closed all day: 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
The monument also closes occasionally at short notice; it was shut on Saturday 24 October 2026. Check the home page for notices on the morning you go.

What the visit includes now
A standard ticket covers the nave and the crypt, which you visit at your own pace with free leaflets from reception, according to the tours and activities page. The practical-information page states plainly that "Le panorama du Panthéon n'est pas ouvert à la visite": the colonnade walk around the dome is closed, and no season or price for it is published.
If a view over Paris is what you want, the Arc de Triomphe rooftop is another national monument with an open viewing terrace, with its own climb and ticket rules.
Bags, security and access
There is no cloakroom and no luggage storage. Only standard backpacks are accepted, and the list of refused items includes helmets, scooter batteries, scooters, skateboards, food and drink, drones and tripods. Security follows France's Vigipirate measures, so allow time for a bag check.
An outside ramp and an inside lift give access to the whole nave, and pushchairs are allowed. The ticket desk takes cash and cards.
