Ticket prices
The observatory's ticket page lists these same-day prices:
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Adult (15 and over) | ¥2,200 |
| Child (6–14) | ¥900 |
| Preschool child (5 and under) | Free |
| Group of 15+, adult / child | ¥1,980 / ¥810 |
Where to buy. Same-day tickets are sold only at the ABENO HARUKAS ticket counter on the 16th floor, where advance tickets are also exchanged. The page links to an official web ticket store and to several resellers (Klook, Trip.com, GetYourGuide and others), but it does not print their prices, so check what you pay against ¥2,200 before buying.
Rules that catch people out. A standard ticket allows no re-entry, and tickets cannot be refunded or reissued. The 1-Day Ticket allows unlimited re-entry for one person on the same day but is sold only on the day. Sales "may be suspended during busy times or due to special events".
Payment. The FAQ says the counter takes credit cards, e-money and cash vouchers, and QR payments by PayPay, LINE Pay, merpay, d払い, WeChat Pay and Alipay.
Hours and closures
The operation information page gives 9:00–22:00, open all year, with last admission 30 minutes before closing, so 21:30 on a normal day. Hours are "subject to change without prior notice".
Event days do change them. On 17 October 2026, the night of the Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival, the observatory closed to ordinary visitors from 17:00 to 20:30 (last daytime admission 16:00) and admitted only holders of a sold-out special ticket. Expect something similar on future fireworks nights.

Getting there from Tennoji
HARUKAS 300 is "directly above Ōsaka-Abenobashi Station", the Kintetsu terminal, says the observatory home page. The step that confuses first-time visitors is the entrance: you do not go straight to the top. According to the FAQ, take the HARUKAS Shuttle from the 2nd floor of the Abeno Harukas Tower to the entrance gate on the 16th floor, buy or exchange your ticket there, and the facility guide says the elevator then runs from the 16th floor to the 60th, 288 metres above ground.
The observatory's access page shows the routes from JR and Osaka Metro Tennoji only as map images, so we cannot quote walking times. It does state that there is no parking for the observatory: come by train.
HARUKAS 300 or Umeda Sky Building?
Both are evening favourites, and the choice usually comes down to a pass and where you are staying.
| Situation | Better choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Holding an Osaka Amazing Pass, before 15:00 | Umeda Sky Building | Free entry with the pass until 15:00 |
| No pass, adult | Either; Umeda Sky is ¥200 cheaper | ¥2,000 vs ¥2,200 |
| Family with a 4- or 5-year-old | HARUKAS 300 | Free at 5 and under; Umeda Sky charges ¥500 from age 4 |
| Family with children aged 6–12 | Umeda Sky Building | ¥500 per child vs ¥900 |
| Family with children aged 13–14 | HARUKAS 300 | ¥900 per child; Umeda Sky charges the ¥2,000 adult price from 13 |
| Staying near Tennoji or Shinsekai | HARUKAS 300 | It sits on top of the station |
| Rainy evening | HARUKAS 300 | Its 60th floor is enclosed; Umeda Sky's rooftop may close in heavy rain |
