Which ticket to buy
The Gulbenkian Foundation sells one set of tickets for its two art buildings: the Museum, with Calouste Gulbenkian's own collection, and the CAM, its modern and contemporary art centre at the other end of the garden. The Foundation's tickets page lists:
| Ticket | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| All Inclusive | €18 | Museum, CAM and "Todd Webb in Portugal" |
| Museum | €16 | Museum, plus the CAM collection |
| CAM | €12 | CAM collection and CAM temporary exhibitions |
| Gulbenkian Temporary Exhibitions | €10 | CAM temporary exhibitions and "Todd Webb in Portugal" |
| CAM Temporary Exhibitions | €8 | CAM temporary shows only |
| Todd Webb in Portugal | €6 | That exhibition only |
The All Inclusive ticket costs only €2 more than the Museum ticket, so take it if any temporary exhibition interests you. If you only want modern and contemporary art, the €12 CAM ticket is enough. The CAM's welcome page lists its collection display, "Scheherazade", as running until 20 September 2027.
Discounts
The same page gives these reductions:
- Under 30: 25%.
- Lisboa Card or Ciência Viva card: 20%.
- Over 65, Lisbon Sightseeing or City Sightseeing ticket: 10%.
The free Gulbenkian Card (Cartão Gulbenkian) gives more: 50% for under-30s, 20% for over-65s and 10% for anyone aged 30–64. Card holders under 30 also get into all exhibitions free on Saturdays from 18:00 to 21:00. For a 25-year-old, the All Inclusive ticket costs €13.50 with the standard under-30 rate and €9 with the card.
Free entry
The tickets page lists free entry for:
- everyone on Sundays from 14:00;
- under-18s;
- Cartão Gulbenkian Mais members;
- ICOM, AICA and APOM members, and holders of the Gulbenkian Artist in the Collection card or a press card;
- carers of people with disabilities or limited mobility.
With last entry at 17:30, a free Sunday gives you three and a half hours at most. If you want to see both the Museum and the CAM without rushing, arrive at 14:00 or pay on another day.

Opening hours and closures
The Foundation's opening-hours page gives these hours under the heading "Museum, CAM and Temporary Exhibitions":
- Open: 10:00–18:00; Saturday 10:00–21:00.
- Last entry: 30 minutes before closing.
- Closed: Tuesdays, and on 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May, 24 and 25 December.
The useful-information version of the hours page gives the Saturday late opening to the CAM only and lists the Museum at 10:00–18:00 every open day. Plan any Saturday evening visit around the CAM, and treat the Museum's late opening as unconfirmed.
For a December trip, 24 and 25 December and 1 January are closed. Tuesday 29 December 2026 is also closed, as every Tuesday is. No page lists 31 December as a closing day. Our Lisbon Christmas and New Year closures guide shows how this fits with the city's other big sights.
The Museum closed for renovation; the Foundation's renovation page gives July 2026 for the reopening, and the current hours and ticket pages list the Museum as open with no closure notice.
Booking and the ticket office
The Foundation's tickets page says you can buy online or at its ticket offices; neither page mentions time slots. The Museum's visit page says its ticket office sells tickets from 10:00 until last entry at 17:30. The hours pages list the CAM ticket office at 10:00–18:00, and until 21:00 on Saturdays.
The garden
The garden around both buildings is free and open every day from sunrise to sunset, according to the opening-hours page. The Museum's visit page describes it as a 7.5-hectare garden. Walking through it is the easiest way between the Museum and the CAM, and it is a good place to wait out a closed Tuesday or a queue.

Getting there
The Museum's main entrance is at Avenida de Berna 45A. The Foundation's how to get here page and the Museum's visit page list:
- Metro: São Sebastião (blue and red lines) or Praça de Espanha (blue line).
- Bus: Carris 716, 726 and 756 (Avenida de Berna), 746 (Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar), 713 and 742 (Rua Marquês de Fronteira).
- Train: Entrecampos station, about a 15-minute walk.
- Car: underground Parque Berna, entered from Avenida de Berna and paid with Via Verde.
São Sebastião is on the red line, which also serves the airport; see our Lisbon airport to city guide. Our Lisbon transport card guide compares the ways to pay for the metro.
How long to allow
The Foundation does not publish a suggested visit length. With the CAM collection included in the Museum ticket and the two buildings at opposite ends of the garden, our own rough estimate is a half day if you want to see both.
If you are in Lisbon on a Tuesday, the Museum and CAM are closed but the garden stays open. Note that MAAT in Belém also closes on Tuesdays; its prices and hours are in our MAAT tickets guide.
