Prices: online or at the desk

The Orangerie's price page lists different prices for the official online ticket shop and the museum desk:

Ticket Online At the museum
Full price €12.50 €11
Reduced price Not sold online €8.50
Friday late opening (from 18:00) €10 €8.50
Enfant et Cie (adult with a child) €10 €8.50
Orsay + Orangerie combined Not sold online €20

Online is the dearer option, but you arrive with a ticket already in hand. The desk saves €1.50 per adult, but you buy on arrival with no guarantee of how long the wait will be. Pick online at busy times such as school holidays and weekends; pick the desk on a quiet weekday morning or if you want the combined ticket.

The Enfant et Cie rate is for up to two adults who are EU residents accompanying a child under 18. The reduced price applies on Friday late openings from 18:00; the page does not set out other reduced-rate groups.

The Orsay combined ticket

The €20 Orsay–Orangerie ticket is sold at the museum only, not online. The Orangerie's page does not say how long it stays valid after purchase, so ask at the desk if you plan to visit Orsay on another day. If Orsay is your main stop, our Musée d'Orsay tickets guide covers its own prices and time slots.

Who gets in free

The price page lists these free categories:

  • Under 18s, of any nationality.
  • 18–25-year-olds who are EU nationals or long-term residents of the EU (more than three months), with proof.
  • Disabled visitors holding a disability or priority card, plus one companion.
  • Everyone on the first Sunday of each month, with a booking: "réservation obligatoire sauf pour les adhérents Carte Blanche" (booking required except for Carte Blanche members).

The next free Sundays are 1 November and 6 December 2026. Because booking is compulsory, reserve through the official ticket shop as soon as you know your date.

Bags, security and getting there

Expect a security check at the entrance under France's Vigipirate measures, with possible delays, according to the visit conditions. The free cloakroom must take large backpacks, helmets, large umbrellas and cabin-size suitcases up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm. A lift serves all floors, and wheelchairs, folding seats and canes can be borrowed at the cloakroom on showing ID.

The museum stands in the Tuileries garden on the Seine side of Place de la Concorde.
