Which ticket to buy

All four General Visit tiers include the audio guide (15 languages) and the Gaudí Cube. The difference is how much of the building you see. The General Visit page and the detail sections of the booking page give this split:

Tier Price on booking page Adds Changes and cancellation
Blue €35 Main floor, rear façade and courtyard, attic, stairs, Gaudí Cube Ticket office only, with proof
Silver €40 Rooftop Ticket office only, with proof
Gold €45 Private Batlló residence, original concierge room, AR tablet Ticket office only, with proof
Platinum €55 Same areas as Gold Online date change; free cancellation

The online tickets overview advertises the General Visit "from €29", and the house says advance booking can save up to €15 per person. The €35–€55 figures are what the booking page displayed when we checked it; the date and time you pick can change the price, so compare tiers on your own date.

The tier cards on the booking page list every feature under every tier, which contradicts the detail sections. Read the inclusions on the checkout screen for the tier you select before paying.

How to choose:

  • Blue suits a first visit on a budget, but it leaves out the rooftop, which the house sells as the "Dragon's Rooftop".
  • Silver is the sensible default: the full route plus the rooftop for €5 more than Blue on the prices we saw.
  • Gold is worth it if you want the Batlló family's private residence and the AR tablet.
  • Platinum costs €10 more than Gold for the same areas. What you pay for is flexibility: per the FAQ, only Platinum dates can be changed online, and free cancellation applies to Platinum General and Night Visit tickets. Buy it if your Barcelona dates may still move.

For a couple, Silver at the prices we saw costs €80 online. The same two tickets at the ticket office would cost €8 to €30 more, according to the FAQ's €4–€15 per ticket range.

Night, early-morning and exhibition tickets

The overview page lists several other experiences:

  • Night Visit: from €25, online only, until 15 November. First entry 20:30, last 21:30, with a glass of cava or a Kir Royal. The Night Visit page states it does not include the rooftop. Its date picker showed tiers at €45, €53, €55 and €60 when we checked, so the "from" price may apply only to certain dates.
  • Be the First: €45, online only, entry 8:30–8:45. The overview says it includes the rooftop and fewer visitors; the Be the First page says "all areas of the house" with very limited capacity.
  • General Visit + Exhibition: from €37, until 10 January, adding the Gaudí-Miró-Gomis: Deconstructed exhibition on the second floor.
  • Exhibition only: €15. The exhibition page says it runs until 10 January 2027 and states clearly that this is not a visit to Casa Batlló.
  • Magical Nights (visit + concert): from €59, online only, until 15 November, about two hours.
  • Bon Appétit (third floor with breakfast or tapas): from €59, online only.

Discounts and who goes free

The overview lists these online and ticket-office discounts:

  • up to 12 years old, accompanied by an adult: free;
  • 13 to 17 (up to 15 must be accompanied): €6 off;
  • student card, any age and country: €6 off;
  • 65 and over: €3 off;
  • disability accreditation, any degree and country: €6 off, and a companion goes free.

The FAQ adds that the free companion ticket is issued at the ticket office, that there are no large-family or single-parent discounts, and that children's rates may differ for Magical Nights and Bon Appétit. A separate list of discounts is available only at the ticket office for the General Visit; it covers ICOM/ICOMOS members, press cards, Club Super3, Go City, and several city-tour and transport passes including the Barcelona Card.

Booking, time slots and hours

You choose an entry time when you buy. The FAQ says you have 15 minutes from that time to enter, and entry is allowed only at the chosen time. If you are delayed by force majeure, go to the ticket office to rebook. Blue, Silver and Gold holders who need to change a date must go to the ticket office with proof, such as a medical certificate or a transport cancellation.

The Plan your visit page says the house is open every day of the year from 8:30 to 22:30, with last admission at 21:30 and the ticket office open until 21:00. Those hours span all experiences. For the daytime General Visit, the overview gives first entry at 9:00 and last entry at 19:45, while the General Visit page and FAQ give 9:00 to 19:15; book a slot no later than 19:15 to be safe. Allow about 1 hour 15 minutes for the General Visit and 1 hour 45 minutes with the exhibition.

The house publishes no Christmas or New Year closures and repeats "open every day of the year". It does not post special hours for 24, 25 or 31 December or 1 January, so check slot availability for those dates in the booking calendar.

Getting there

Casa Batlló is at Passeig de Gràcia 43. The Plan your visit page lists:

  • FGC: Plaça Catalunya or Provença, about 10 minutes' walk.
  • Rodalies (Renfe): Passeig de Gràcia (R2 Nord, R2 Sud); Plaça Catalunya (R1, R3, R4).
  • Bus: 7, 22, 24, V15, H10, X1.

For which travel card to use, see our T-casual and fare zones guide. The Eixample grid guide explains the district around Passeig de Gràcia.

Bags, pushchairs and accessibility

There are no lockers, so arrive without luggage or large backpacks. Pushchairs cannot go on the tour; there is space to leave them, and baby carriers are available.

If your slot is sold out

Check the other tiers for the same time first, since each tier is booked separately in the calendar. Next, try Be the First at 8:30, which has its own small allocation, or the slots after 16:00, which the house itself suggests for a calmer visit. If the house is full for your date, the other Gaudí houses and the basilica sell timed tickets too: see the La Pedrera and Sagrada Família guides.
