Park Güell ticket prices

The ticket covers the regulated monumental zone (with the Dragon Stairway, Hypostyle Room and Nature Square), the green area and the panoramic areas. The park's official prices and times page lists these rates for the standard self-guided visit, all including 21% VAT (checked 12 October 2026):

Visitor Price
General ticket €18
Children aged 0–6 Free
Children aged 7–12 €13.50
Over 65, or "Targeta Rosa Reduïda" card holders €13.50
People with disabilities Free
Person accompanying a disabled visitor €13.50
Holders of a MUHBA or Ruta del Modernisme ticket €14.50

There is no youth or student rate on the page, so anyone from 13 to 65 pays €18. Discounts and free tickets need proof of eligibility at the time of purchase, and discounts cannot be combined with other promotions.

For two adults with a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old, the total is €49.50 (€18 + €18 + €13.50 + €0). Add a 70-year-old grandparent and it becomes €63. The 5-year-old still needs a free ticket in the same booking: the page says every visitor, including children aged 0 to 6, must show a ticket.

The buy tickets page also sells a guided tour (groups of up to 25, in Catalan, Spanish, English or French) and combined tickets with the Gaudí House Museum or the Porter's Lodge exhibition. Their prices only show in the booking flow, so compare them there. Before choosing the Gaudí House Museum combination, note that the Sagrada Família's hours page, which says the museum is now managed by BSM with tickets sold through the Park Güell website, describes it as temporarily closed (checked 12 October 2026).

How the half-hour time slots work

Your ticket is for a date and a time band. Article 2.8 of the access regulations says the ticket allows entry for 30 minutes after the reserved time; the prices page gives the example that a 9:30 booking lets you in until 10:00. After that you lose the right to enter, and the regulations put capacity at 700 visitors per 30 minutes, so a missed slot cannot be counted on to be honoured later in the day.

Once inside, there is no time limit. You can stay until closing, but leaving ends the visit: there is no re-entry.

At the gate you show the booking locator or QR code on paper or a phone. The regulations say no other document is valid for entry, and children under 14 must be with a responsible adult.

Opening hours and the resident-only windows

The park is open all year. Tourist tickets are sold for slots from 9:30 to 19:30 (prices page, checked 12 October 2026). The same page reserves two windows for local residents and Passi Verd holders, when tourist visits are not allowed:

  • "Bon dia Barcelona": 7:00 to 9:30
  • "Bon vespre Barcelona": 20:00 to 22:00

The access regulations tell visitors to "check hours based on season", but the prices page does not publish a separate winter or summer timetable. Treat the slot list in the booking calendar for your date as the final word, especially for a late-afternoon visit outside summer.

Free entry for residents (context only)

Free access exists, but not for visitors. Residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods have a personal card, and registered residents of the city of Barcelona can take a same-day Passi Verd by entering their official ID number; advance booking is not allowed. A hotel stay does not make you a registered resident, so as a tourist you need a paid or free-category ticket.

Buying tickets and what to do if your slot is sold out

The buy tickets page says tickets are sold online only, and its map marks the ticket office icon "Tickets online only". The FAQ adds the booking rules (checked 12 October 2026):

  • Book up to three months ahead, with a maximum of 7 tickets per transaction.
  • Individual tickets cannot be cancelled and are not refunded, except in exceptional cases reviewed one by one.
  • You can change the date and time up to one day before, subject to capacity, using your booking reference.
  • Names must match your ID and cannot be changed after confirmation.

If your preferred slot is gone, check the other half-hour slots on the same day first, from 9:30 through to the last one. If a whole day is full, switch Park Güell to another day of your trip and swap in a site with its own timed entry, such as the Sagrada Família or Gaudí's La Pedrera on Passeig de Gràcia, covered in our La Pedrera (Casa Milà) tickets guide. Groups larger than 7 have a separate group booking (8 to 30 people) on the buy tickets page.

Entrances and getting there

The park has several gates. The official how to get there page matches each one to a way of arriving (checked 12 October 2026):

Arriving by Get off at Use this entrance Walk
Metro L3 Lesseps or Vallcarca Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya (escalators) About 20 min

Taxi Taxi stand on Carretera del Carmel Carretera del Carmel At the gate

Lesseps and Vallcarca are on TMB's green metro line 3. From Vallcarca, the official route takes the escalators on Baixada de la Glòria. The maps and services page also lists a Carrer d'Olot entrance by the Porter's Lodge, with public toilets beside it and at the Carretera del Carmel gate.

TMB's operating hours page says the metro opens at 05:00 and runs non-stop from Saturday into Sunday, so even a 9:30 slot is easy to reach. Transport is not included in the park ticket; for single fares and the 10-journey card, see our guide to the T-casual and Barcelona fare zones.
