What the ticket covers
Dolmabahçe Palace is run by the National Palaces Administration (Milli Saraylar Başkanlığı). Its Dolmabahçe page lists one ticket for individual visitors, "Selamlık, Harem ve Resim Müzesi Birlikte": the ceremonial and state rooms (Selamlık), the private family quarters (Harem) and the Painting Museum, together. The list has no separate Selamlık-only or Harem-only ticket.
| Ticket | Foreign visitor | Turkish visitor | Reduced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selamlık + Harem + Painting Museum | 2,000 TL | 250 TL | 150 TL |
| Kombine I: National Palaces full pass | 3,500 TL | 750 TL | 300 TL |
| Kombine II: Dolmabahçe + Yıldız + European side | 2,750 TL | 500 TL | 200 TL |
| Kombine III: Dolmabahçe + Asian side | 2,750 TL | 500 TL | 200 TL |
Children aged 0–6 enter free. Students aged 7–25 with valid ID pay the reduced price, but foreign students pay double the reduced price and, between 12 and 25, must show a physical ISIC card. The Müzekart (the Turkish museum card) is not valid in the Selamlık, so card holders still need a ticket for the main part of the palace.
Is a combined ticket worth it?
All three combined tickets exclude Topkapı Palace and the Küçüksu Pavilion picnic area. They are valid for one month from purchase, and each venue can be entered once in that time.
Kombine III is the one most visitors can use. It adds the National Palaces sites on the Asian shore. At foreign-visitor prices on 30 October 2026:
| Plan | Single tickets | Kombine III |
|---|---|---|
| Dolmabahçe + Beylerbeyi Palace | 2,000 + 800 = 2,800 TL | 2,750 TL |
| Dolmabahçe + Beylerbeyi + Küçüksu Pavilion | 2,000 + 800 + 300 = 3,100 TL | 2,750 TL |
Beylerbeyi's 800 TL comes from its location page and Küçüksu's 300 TL from the Küçüksu Pavilion page. With Beylerbeyi alone the saving is only 50 TL; with Küçüksu as well it is 350 TL. Neither page lists which Asian-side buildings Kombine III covers by name, so confirm at the ticket office that the sites you want are included. Our Beylerbeyi Palace guide covers that palace's own ticket, garden ticket and closed day.
Kombine II (Dolmabahçe, the Yıldız palaces and other European-side sites) is the same price. The Yıldız Palace page lists a 900 TL foreign-visitor ticket, so Dolmabahçe plus Yıldız alone costs 2,900 TL in single tickets, 150 TL more than Kombine II. Yıldız closes on Wednesdays.
Kombine I, the full pass at 3,500 TL, adds the remaining National Palaces sites in Istanbul. It pays off only if you plan to visit several of the smaller pavilions and museums as well.

Opening hours and closed days
The page gives ticket office hours of 09:00 to 17:00. The site header shows "09:00 17:30", which suggests the palace itself empties at about 17:30; no last-entry time is published. The palace closes:
- every Monday;
- on 1 January;
- on the first day of Ramazan Bayramı and the first day of Kurban Bayramı.
It opens on the other public holidays, on days 2 and 3 of Ramazan Bayramı and on days 2 to 4 of Kurban Bayramı. When a holiday falls on a Monday, the palace stays closed.
The Monday closing is the opposite of Topkapı's: Topkapı's own page lists Tuesday as its closed day. If your Istanbul days include a Monday and a Tuesday, put Topkapı on the Monday and Dolmabahçe on the Tuesday.
How to buy
You can buy at the ticket office or online. The National Palaces online ticket page lists a Dolmabahçe Palace ticket and the full pass, takes card payment with 3D Secure and sells up to five tickets per order. Its e-ticket is a single-use QR code valid for 90 days from purchase. Two limits apply:
- The Turkish-language form is for Turkish citizens only; each ticket is tied to a Turkish ID number, which is checked at the entrance.
- Foreign visitors are told to buy the "Foreign Visitor" ticket on the English page. We could not read that page, so check its price and conditions there before paying.
The National Palaces mobile app (App Store and Google Play) also sells e-tickets that you carry on your phone. The page does not say whether entry times are allocated, and it publishes no daily visitor limit.

Getting there
The palace is on Dolmabahçe Caddesi in Vişnezade Mahallesi, Beşiktaş, on the European shore of the Bosphorus. The National Palaces page gives no directions, and the tram operator's line pages could not be read for this guide. As a location aid only, a Wikipedia overview of the tram network puts the T1 terminus at Kabataş, the nearest tram stop to the palace; check the walk to the gate on a map.
If you are combining the palace with the Asian shore, our Bosphorus ferries guide explains how the ordinary commuter ferries cross between the two shores.
